The Rising Sun™ Redbud

A new cultivar that retains the beauty of traditional redbud blooms while adding another dimension of interest with its gorgeous summer foliage. After the purplish pink sweet pea like flowers are spent, rosy pink leaves appear and turn tangerine for summer, before finally turning yellow in fall. Also distinct from other redbuds is its tan bark with a yellowish cast. Amend soil with acidic compost. Perfect understory tree.

Ruby Falls Weeping Redbud

A new introduction from North Carolina State University, this small growing weeping redbud has gorgeous deep lavender blooms in early spring that give way to striking deep purple foliage that almost looks black from far away. Ruby Falls is a perfect specimen plant for that smaller spot in the garden.
