Perfect as a vertical accent in tight spaces, Straight Talk is only 2' wide and tightly upright In addition to being cold hardy and drought tolerant, it's easy to grow in a wide range of soils and tolerates urban conditions. Flowers are white, followed by black fruit. Minimal seed production after four years in Minnesota trials. Found by Mike Jeronimus of Green Acres Nursery in Golden, CO.

Small dark green egg shaped leaves on erect stems form a dense shrub with an upright habit. White flowers in early summer followed by a black fruit in late summer to winter.
Lodense Privet
A dense twiggy shrub with a compact, irregularly rounded habit. White flowers in summer produce black fruit that lasts into winter. Dark green foliage turns pale yellow in fall.
Golden Vicary Privet
Golden-yellow, oval leaves cloth slightly arching stems to create a rounded, vase-shaped shrub. Tiny white flowers appear in early summer. Excellent accent plant.
