Cathedral Elm

Cross of Japanese Elm and Siberian Elm, This els resembles Japanese elm in appearance with larger leaves and growth habit. When inoculated with Dutc h elm disease, it has shown no observable damage or only tip injury to the branches. After, the tre e is able to wall off the area and prevent spread of the disease.

Emerald Sunshine Elm

Grown from a seed collected in China, this sturdy, upright-growing elm was selected for superior performance on the hot, arid, windswept plains of western Oklahoma. Handsome, deeply corrugated leaves emerge copper-bronze and mature to glossy green. Insect resistant and tolerant of heat and drought, it is a fast growing, though and adaptable shade tree.

Frontier Elm

Chosen by the City of Denver's "Mile High Million" tree planting, this Elm is resistant to Dutch Elm Disease. It has reddish-purple fall color. Very tough and tolerant of a wide variety of conditions. This tree is a cross between Lacebark Elm and Smooth Leaf Elm. Hardy to -30°F Maximum Elevation: 6,000 ft.

New Horizon Elm

Shape: Compact upright oval, slightly arching Foliage: Deep green, fine textured, yellow to rusty red tints in the fall. Upright oval, dense and compact, with a finer texture than most other elms. Showed no dieback during the harsh Colorado winter of 2009-2010.

Princeton American Elm, Dutch Elm Disease Resistant

Selected for its straight trunk and vigorous growth rate, the Princeton Elm has stood the test of time since 1922 when it was first cultivated. It grows to a uniform vase shape with upright branches and rich green foliage that turns yellow in the fall. A variety that is dutch elm resistant and adaptable to most all of Colorado's harsh conditions. Fast growing and WATER THRIFTY!

Greenstone™ Elm

Through years of testing, this vigorous grower has proven to be the top performer among trees grown from seed collected at the northern edge of its native range in China. Its strong branches with open angles develop into an upright vase shape resembling that of the classic American elm.

Valley Forge American Elm

Valley Forge Elm is more resistant to Dutch Elm Disease than any other elm. This fast growing shade tree develops a vase shaped, dense canopy that provides excellent shade. Fall color is yellow and this tree tolerates salt, poor soil conditions, drought, and pollution. A great lawn or street tree.
